Summary

They come from different backgrounds 。 。 。 but are they destined to write a new chapter together?

With little left to tie her to her home state of Texas and yearning for a slower life, Yvonne Wilson jumps at the chance to shake things up with a move to Montgomery, Indiana。 A dream job awaits her—managing an Amish bookstore for her good friends Jake and Eva。 Besides the slow-paced setting and the comfort of beloved books, Yvonne hopes the change will help distract her from the emptiness she feels after the death of her fiancé。

No longer a part of the Amish community but still a resident of Montgomery, Abraham Byler finds himself in over his head with his job as a police officer combined with a new but fast-moving relationship with the wealthy and aggressive New York native Brianna Stone。 When Abraham realizes that his old crush Yvonne is back in town, he's not just in over his head—he suddenly finds himself head over heels for Yvonne—and in hot water with Brianna。

When the violence of police work comes up against his pacifist upbringing, Abraham is forced to question his original decision to leave the Amish faith for his career。 Meanwhile, Yvonne is asking her own questions about why she feels such a deep peace in Montgomery—and how much that feeling has to do with Abraham and how much has to do with the workings of her own heart。

This is an Amish Romance, and this is the second book in the Amish Bookstore series。 I have read and reviewed the first book in this series before picking up this book, but I do think you can read this book as a standalone。 I do feel that you will get a better feel for the characters if you read the first book before this book。 In this book we are following Yvonne who was one of the characters we followed in the first book。 I grew to love her character in the first book, and I am happy we got he This is an Amish Romance, and this is the second book in the Amish Bookstore series。 I have read and reviewed the first book in this series before picking up this book, but I do think you can read this book as a standalone。 I do feel that you will get a better feel for the characters if you read the first book before this book。 In this book we are following Yvonne who was one of the characters we followed in the first book。 I grew to love her character in the first book, and I am happy we got her romance in this book。 I love how much her character has changed。 There was a little suspense and mystery in this book, but there was not enough that I would call this a Romantic suspense。 The mystery in this book was really interesting, and it kept me guessing。 There was so much going on in this book, but it was done in a way it did not feel overwhelming or hard to follow。 I really loved the ending so much, and I cannot wait for the next book in this series。 I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Zondervan) or author (Beth Wiseman) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book。 I want to send a big Thank you to them for that。 This book is scheduled to be released on October 11-2022。 。。。more

Beth Wiseman did an AMAZING job with this novel! I absolutely loved the first novel in this series, and this was no different! I really got engrossed into the lives of the characters especially Yvonne, and Abraham。 I loved the feeling of the darkness and drama with the other girl involved in the novel。 I definitely would love to see more novels in this series and am very interested in reading more of Beth's novels。 I love that she uses real life examples and builds stories around that and makes Beth Wiseman did an AMAZING job with this novel! Book 2 in Beth Wiseman's Amish Bookstore series has a love triangle surrounding former Amish man, Abraham Byler。 Also returning from book 1 is Yvonne Wilson, who befriended bookstore owners Jake & Eva in her quest to buy a valuable book from Jake。。 She failed in her quest due to Jake's promise to his grandfather, but in the process made strong friendships。 Following the death of her fiancé, Yvonne Wilson has nothing holding her to Texas so she takes Jake Lantz up on his offer of a job in his fam Book 2 in Beth Wiseman's Amish Bookstore series has a love triangle surrounding former Amish man, Abraham Byler。 Also returning from book 1 is Yvonne Wilson, who befriended bookstore owners Jake & Eva in her quest to buy a valuable book from Jake。。 She failed in her quest due to Jake's promise to his grandfather, but in the process made strong friendships。 Following the death of her fiancé, Yvonne Wilson has nothing holding her to Texas so she takes Jake Lantz up on his offer of a job in his family bookstore。 She loved her time in Montgomery, IN, and has the added incentive of seeing Abraham Byler again。 Even though they 'clicked', Yvonne's loss was too fresh。 Is there still anything there with Abraham, or has she returned too late。Abe fell hard for Yvonne when he met her and it was a blow to learn she was engaged。 When her fiancé dies in a plane crash, Abe tries to be the friend she needs while keeping his heart under wraps。 He writes letters to her after she returns home to Texas but when she doesn't respond, he finally gives up and begins dating Brianna Taylor。 They've only been dating about 3 months, and Brianna is pushing for more。 When Yvonne returns, he is torn。 Will he break things off with the possessive Brianna, even if there isn't a guarantee that Yvonne will agree to even date him? This story moved surprisingly fast, and let me tell you, Brianna was a little scary。 I can't imagine someone coming from the Amish being able to comprehend the lengths she went to in order to keep Abe。 I was impressed with Abe's strength of character, as Brianna put him in numerous very compromising positions。 I was also impressed with Yvonne。 Even though she was interested in exploring a relationship with Abe, as soon as she knew he was seeing someone else, she backed off and kept him firmly in the "friend zone。" Readers who enjoy Amish fiction will enjoy "The Story of Love"。 Be warned, though, Brianna leaves no doubt that her goal is to get Abe into bed with her, and she aggressively pursues that goal。 I loved the story, and I believe others will, too。 。。。more

The next in the Amish Bookstore series, Beth Wiseman doesn't disappoint on The Story of Love。 I loved how the story line continues flawlessly into this book。 A beautiful story of second chance love, Abraham and Yvonne deal with many struggles that bring them together throughout the novel。 This is a must read for any lovers of Amish fiction。Thank you to NetGalley and Beth Wiseman for the ARC in exchange for my honest review。 The next in the Amish Bookstore series, Beth Wiseman doesn't disappoint on The Story of Love。 I loved how the story line continues flawlessly into this book。 A beautiful story of second chance love, Abraham and Yvonne deal with many struggles that bring them together throughout the novel。 This is a must read for any lovers of Amish fiction。Thank you to NetGalley and Beth Wiseman for the ARC in exchange for my honest review。 。。。more

I received a complimentary copy of this book。 Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own。There isn't a single Beth Wiseman book that I haven't simply loved, and The Story of Love is no exception。 Her books are full of heart and light, grace and redemption。 While I haven't read the first book in this new series, I easily picked up with book 2 and caught right up。 Yvonne and Abraham were so well suited for each other and it was fun reading their journey。 This book was a tad bit more s I received a complimentary copy of this book。 Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own。There isn't a single Beth Wiseman book that I haven't simply loved, and The Story of Love is no exception。 Her books are full of heart and light, grace and redemption。 While I haven't read the first book in this new series, I easily picked up with book 2 and caught right up。 Yvonne and Abraham were so well suited for each other and it was fun reading their journey。 This book was a tad bit more suspenseful than the other books I have read by her, but still characteristic of her other works。 I would love a follow up that would tackle more of these characters journey to adjust to their choices made at the end of this book。 Can't wait to read the next in the series! Thank you Zondervan Fiction for allowing me to read, Beth Wiseman’s second book in her An Amish Bookstore Novel Series , The Story of Love。 We met our main characters, Yvonne Wilson, a former book buyer who came to Montgomery, Indiana to buy a rare book from Jake and Eva, who owned the bookstore, and Abraham Byler, a former Amish man turned policeman in the first book in this series。 Due to distance and tragedy, the two could seem to get their timing right。 In this book, Yvonne has left her busy Thank you Zondervan Fiction for allowing me to read, Beth Wiseman’s second book in her An Amish Bookstore Novel Series , The Story of Love。 We met our main characters, Yvonne Wilson, a former book buyer who came to Montgomery, Indiana to buy a rare book from Jake and Eva, who owned the bookstore, and Abraham Byler, a former Amish man turned policeman in the first book in this series。 Due to distance and tragedy, the two could seem to get their timing right。 In this book, Yvonne has left her busy, hectic, life behind and moved to Mongomery to run Jake’s bookstore since he is now needed full time at home。 Now that distance is no longer an issue between Yvonne and Abraham, it seems a new girlfriend stands in the way。 Timing, always timing seems to be against these two。 This story will hold your attention from beginning to end。 As you read, you are never sure what a page turn will bring。 I highly recommend this book and give it 5-stars。 The opinions are my own, and I was not required to give a positive review。 Preorder yours today。 Release day is October 11, 2022。 。。。more

Wow! What a riveting story! I was anticipating an Amish love story where some problem nearly derails the romance, but I certainly didn't expect to get totally engrossed in a psychological thriller。 It kept me guessing and turning pages from the very first page。 This is a book that I didn't want to end because I want to follow Abraham and Yvonne's life。I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley。 The opinions expressed in this review are solely my own。 Wow! The Story of Love by Beth Wiseman is a sweet story about of a non-Amish woman who moves to a small Amish community to help her friends at their bookstore。 The prior year, while searching for a special book, she met Jake and Eva, became friends and attended their wedding。 At the time of the wedding she met a local policeman, Abraham, who had grown up Amish but wanted to be a policeman。 She had just lost her fiancé and was not ready to move on with another man。 Now recovered a bit from her grief, The Story of Love by Beth Wiseman is a sweet story about of a non-Amish woman who moves to a small Amish community to help her friends at their bookstore。 The prior year, while searching for a special book, she met Jake and Eva, became friends and attended their wedding。 At the time of the wedding she met a local policeman, Abraham, who had grown up Amish but wanted to be a policeman。 She had just lost her fiancé and was not ready to move on with another man。 Now recovered a bit from her grief, Yvonne decides to leave her Texas home and returns to Montgomery, Indiana to help Jake and Eva and manage their bookstore。 With Yvonne’s return, it isn’t long before Abraham knows she’s back。 The problem is that Abraham now has a girlfriend which could interfere with his desire to renew his friendship with Yvonne; until it ends。 I struggled putting this book down, wanting to know what happens and then I didn’t want it to end because I wanted to know more about Abraham and Yvonne's life together。 I highly recommend The Story of Love to other readers。I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book。 。。。more
